Sealing Materials (Hemp, Teflon, Anaerobic)
Sealing materials for threaded connections. Hemp + Fermit (classic, adjustable), PTFE tape (quick), anaerobic adhesive (permanent). NOT required for GEBO compression fittings (these use O-rings).
- Hemp + sealing paste (Fermit): Classic thread sealing
- PTFE tape (Teflon tape): Quick sealing
- Anaerobic adhesive: Permanent sealing
- Liquid sealant: For heating systems (GeboLiquid)
- For GEBO compression fittings: NO sealant on compression ring — only the original seal!
- Always wrap hemp IN thread direction
- PTFE tape: 6–8 layers, tightly wrapped
- Anaerobic: Check material compatibility (no plastic!)
- For gas thread connections: Only use approved sealing materials
