Support Sleeves
Support sleeves are inserted into plastic and multilayer composite pipes to prevent compression of the pipe when tightening the compression fitting. MANDATORY for all plastic pipe connections with GEBO products.
- Insert into PE pipe before GEBO compression fitting assembly
- Insert into multilayer composite pipe
- Insert into PP pipe
- Ensure that the pipe does not become oval
- ALWAYS use with plastic and composite pipes — MANDATORY!
- Support sleeve must match pipe diameter (millimeter-precise)
- Slightly chamfer pipe before insertion
- Push support sleeve in completely (flush with pipe end)
- Without support sleeve: pipe becomes oval → leak!
