Drinking Water
Drinking water installations must comply with the requirements of the TrinkwV (Drinking Water Ordinance) and the UBA evaluation guidelines. Only materials with DVGW or KTW certification are permitted. Temperature range: cold water up to 25 °C, hot water up to 60 °C.
- DVGW certification of all components
- Lead-free materials (limit value 10 µg/l since 2013)
- KTW guideline for plastics
- UBA evaluation guidelines for metallic materials
- Water exchange at every point at least 3 times per week
- Observe maximum stagnation time
- Flush line if not used for >72h
- Avoid dead legs
- Hot water ≥60 °C at storage tank outlet (Legionella protection)
- Regular sampling recommended
